When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

A few days ago I had an image come into my head just a little before I was going to go to sleep. I didn't want to forget about it so I wound up drawing a very quick sketch of it using a pink highlighter. It wound up being fast and on a larger scale than my usual which actually made this turn out really nice. I redrew some rough anatomy over the image to correct the mistakes (mostly the face and arm) using a pencil and then added some more detail with a black marker. Afterwards I redrew it onto another piece of paper but with a lot more care. Still wound up fixing a few more things after the redraw but the basics really helped me get the anatomy correct greatly. Some links to the redraw before it was refined - [link] [link] I believe I got the idea of the image because some thoughts about Marvel comics and the recent events (Namely Civil War and Captain America) had me thinking about pride. |
